Stormwind Harbor

The Stormwind Harbor is planned to be added into the northern area of Stormwind City, with the access point set between the Park and Cathedral Square. Players will be able to set sail to Northrend from there in Wrath of the Lich King — World of Warcraft's newest and upcoming expansion.
The Harbor gatehouse granting access to Stormwind Harbor is being built by Human, Dwarven and Gnomish construction workers all under the supervision of Foreman Wick. Currently, arguments about how much powder to use to knock down the wall that the gatehouse is replacing are occurring.
Stormwind Harbor itself will be one of the major ports for transport to both Northrend and Kalimdor, thereby connecting to Valiance Keep in the Borean Tundra and replacing the Menethil Harbor-Auberdine line connecting the Eastern Kingdoms to Northern Kalimdor; the line to Auberdine will now connect directly to Stormwind City, allowing night elf and draenei players to avoid the "death run" through the Wetlands. Its worth noting that Stormwind Harbor features a new type of boat, run by a water-mill. The Sword of Wrynn is an example of this.
Notes & tips
- Stormwind is the only capital city that has a harbor within the city boundaries; sea access to Darnassus is through Rut'theran Village, which is connected to Darnassus (via teleportation) but is not located within the city itself. Stormwind is also the only capital city on either side with an open waterfront within the city boundaries.
